The SEACeM Fellowship Program was designed to enable distinctive employee of independent media organizations in Asia, to be based in SEACeM Office to expand their knowledge in a specific area of media development. The SEACeM Fellow can choose to participate in any of the following schemes:

a. Placement in Malaysiakini: In this scheme, the Fellow will be attached to a specific department of Malaysiakini for  an on the job training. The domain areas that area covered under this scheme includes Fieldwork in Journalism, Editorial Policy, e-Marketing for Media Organization and Video Journalism.

b. Special Project: Apart from that, the Fellow can also choose to work independent under the guidance of a Mentor to develop a new website or system, or to develop a business plan. Other area of expertise can be considered based on the availability of a Mentor.
